Thread: Laptop Suspend 11.10

i know there's thread this, it's quite old , there's no real solution see.

basically, have new laptop , did clean install of 11.10 , when shut lid, it's supposed suspend. doesn't.

well, might, doesn't come :/ screen black, , backlight comes on, nothing happens. no hdd activity or anything, have hold power button , reboot way.

there way fix this? brilliant thankyou.

i don't have solution, same problem desktop pc. graphics card have? maybe 11.10 doesnt type of graphics card...

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
