Thread: network manager does not save settings

hi all, having problem network manager, trying connect machine via ethernet cable (i have done before) when (on laptop) try change wired connection settings shared other computers, password confirmation box briefly pops , disappears cannot enter password, therefore settings don't saved!!!! getting annoying

can access settings when there cable connected machine. don't know if connection attempt might interfering saving process??

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
