Thread: new Ubuntu 11.10 user

hey guys,

installed ubuntu 11.10 beside windows 7 ... takes 45min full updates ... have little problem when restart ... still restart many times can choose ubuntu through os menu ... how can fix ...

, ... on next time ... need know real updates should installed , should escape ?!

not sure mean. want boot , have ubuntu chose automaticly? how did install on separate parititon or using wubi?

and ... on next time ... need know real updates should installed , should escape ?!

all real updates (and yes big). bare in mind system upgrade else.

updates safe install. include security patches, bug fixes , software updates. can choose install security patches example.

if used wubi install ubuntu there updates should avoid.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
