Thread: No sound following Oneiric update on Samsung Chromebook

hey all,
new ubuntu , linux in general, decided put ubuntu on chromebook.
followed steps listed here put ubuntu 11.04 on machine. sound worked fine @ point. took official update oneiric. following getting myself situated 11.10, noticed there no sound. plugging in headphones worked fine, speakers never emitted peep.

if shed light on problem might , how fix eternally grateful. if helps, here posts other people have made upgrade , run same or other problems. million.

did speakers work in 11.04?

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
