Thread: Problems with Installation of new softwares

i have been using ubuntu 11.10 few months. getting problems installation of new softwares. thought internet connection fine, shows me following message:

"failed download packages. check internet connection"

, following error pop window appears repeatedly following message until close ubuntu software center.

"requires installation of untrusted packages. action require installation of packages not authenticated sources."

helpful, if guides me fix problem @ earliest.

note: may errors while trying update system terminal "something wicked has happened. failed fetch...".

kindly offer suggestions.

what attempting install?

advice use stable release else may have fix 11.10 probs ...

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
