Thread: sixaxis, ps3 wireless, oneiric
hello.
using third-party ps3 wireless controller ubuntu happily quite time now. it's 1 of gasia type controllers.
had use jstest calibrate joystick , load correction @ boot. no problem there.
oneiric, controller reports 28 axes instead of six. totally confuses me , apps i'm using.
how restrict "old" 6 analog axes , n buttons?
best regards
check out 'jscal'. i'm not sure if ubuntu latest jscal patched support remapping axis , buttons able use remap buttons , axis lower values. great figure out mapping joydevmap. while had issues joydevmap performing remapping, showed me values use jscal instead. option looking 'jscal -u'. try 'jscal -h' see if has flag available, if not patched version of jscal supports button remapping , compile random folder. use jstest see buttons mapped values , take button 18 down button 4.
issue button , axis values high programs freak out , don't recognize them. using jscal able remap them lower numerical values within comfort range of program.
if can motion control work via usb...
pressure sensitivity in linux owns.
