Thread: Ubuntu will not start. Input/output error. libpthread.so.0.

has seen 1 before?

code:
/sbin/init: error while loading shared libraries: libpthread.so.0: cannot open shared object file: input/output error
it preventing computer starting.

have ubuntu studio 11.04 (64bit). have no idea caused this. working fine before shut off. won't anything.

please, almighty forum gods, share me never-ending wisdom. amen.

try booting in live session user through ur installation cd n run sudo apt-get install -f.
or try same cmd if u r able open cmd prompt

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
