is there software ubuntu capable of creating 'heat maps' according wifi signal strength (like http://wifinetnews.com/archives/2009...u_heatmap.html )?

network manager give gross approximation of signal strength of routers sees. if want lot of detail, there's inssider, can choose channel.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
