xml impacting text flow

we have script inserts xml tags document pagebreaks , in instances, linebreaks are.

 

we're noticing in circumstances insertion of xml tag cause paragraph composer re-justify paragraph.

 

is there anyway insert xml without tripping paragraph composer?

 

note, re-justification happens when xml inserted manually well.

i haven't ever seen 0xfeff characters indesign uses hold xml tag markers trigger recomposition.

 

when i've seen recompositions didn't make sense me, has turned out document created in 1 version of indesign, , converted newer version. touching text in particular story in way triggers recomposition of story using current, newer engine. have ruled scenario out—by, instance, recomposing stories (command-option-/ on mac)? idea.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
