Adobe Reader XI runs as process, but will not launch

i have noticed question has been asked fair amount already, they've lead dead ends or solutions fail work. adobe reader xi not run. original version present of adobe reader ix. present version failed run, despite uninstall, upgrades, deletion of program files, , purge of adober reader-related registry values, issue still persists. not aware when issue manifested, under no circumstances, program launch. have tried opening every way possible.

 

computer specs:

windows xp sp3

2 gb ram

2.5 ghz processor

 

solutions i've tried:

-run acrord32.exe local admin

-protected mode registry workaround

-uninstall specific kb

-uninstall/reinstall/repair program itself

-accepting eula in "program files"

 

additional info:

-no related errors present in event viewer

-no errors prompted when attempting use program

-all accounts local-admins , fails launch on of them
