Audio dropping out during playback in timeline
hey everyone,
i've dug through these forums , unless overlooked have not found solution issue. i've listed setup below , have stated issue i'm experiencing.
27-inch, mid 2011 imac
3.4 ghz intel core i7
16gb 1333 mhz ddr3
amd radeon hd 6970 1024mb
running mac os x lion 10.7.5 (11g63)
currently working off of portable 1tb g-technology g-drive via fw800.
working in premiere pro cs6 version 6.0.2
editing in sequence settings:
1920 x 1080 23.976fps (also tried in 29.97fps timeline same issue)
working footage 23.98fps
working combination of prores 422 (lt) , native h.264 quicktime files strait 5d mark 3.
the issue i'm having during playback audio competely drop out. video continue playing on fine audio drops out. audio levels drop in audio mixer meters losing communication audio layers in timeline.
i read in other forums go finder , delete out .caf files, re open premiere pro, wait them recreated carry on. tried approach no luck. deleting .caf did not change anything. audio still dropping out try play through timeline. way audio pause press play again. have 5 total channels of audio 2 of channel active.
any ideas on happening appreciated. incredibly frustrating have export out video able watch through.
i had exact same problem when transitioning fcp premiere other month. indeed incredibly frustrating. solved in instance keeping projects , cache on system drive (documents/adobe/premiere pro/6.0 on mac). haven't had audio dropouts since. i'm guessing might similar problem you're working off external drive. try keeping media , assets on external drive project on system drive in adobe default location. luck!
