How can i get browse sequence widgets to follow hyperlinks instead of TOC?

i've created screen layout based on standard desktop layout , using default browse sequence (back, next) widget buttons included layout. our topics include number of hyperlinks other topics - example, dialog box overview topic might include link how topic dialog. browse sequence buttons follow hyperlink paths previous , next topics viewed. right now, instead go previous , next topics in toc. there way modify properties of buttons follow hyperlinks instead?

i think confusing previous , next in browse sequence previous , next in path followed user.

 

a browse sequence not next item in toc. whatever set up, toc order default.

 

you can have path followed previous , next in addition using javascript methods. find solutions posted in these forums.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
