Import newspaper to Premiere Elements 11

i need import newspaper (text , pictures) premiere elements 11. problem is; when play video text in poor quality. have tried import different files (psd , psb , many more), , have tried resized image 1000 x 750 pixels. nothing seem help. can do?  

well, newspapers printed on poor paper, limited quality applied ink management - mass produced, cheapest possible products.

 

starting original scan, resolution @ point - note: end product, video, resolution thrown out, , pixel x pixel dimensions matter. still, if 1 starting high-rez scan, when manipulate image, working best initial product available.

 

next, newspaper b/w only, or in color?

 

if b/w, explore doing image adjustment>threshold in photoshop, , unsharp mask, or smart sharpen (but not on that).

 

when done, scale size needed, , save_as psd, imported pre.

 

that gets.

 

i have had "build" newspapers, artwork mirrored masthead, , type. newspaper photographs can problematic, got printed accessible image.

 

can link scan (maybe on dropbox, or similar), can see starting with.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
