Is it true that Acrobat Reader cannot be used to fill Acrobat forms?

i want send email questionnaire multiple possible respondents (this 1 of many formats being used, including web-based survey--my problem specific email-based format). designed form using acrobat pro. true respondents must have acrobat pro, not adobe reader, fill in form , send me? if so, serious flaw in adobe's product or in logic severely limits use.

no, it's not true. need reader-enable document acrobat if want users reader prior version 11 save filled-in form. in acrobat 11 selecting: file > save other > reader extended pdf > enable more tools

it's different in other versions of acrobat pro:

acrobat 9: advanced > extend features in adobe reader

acrobat 10: file > save > reader extended pdf > enable additional features

reader 11 able save non-enabled forms.
