Raw files loosing editing information?

i edit raw files in cs5.  saw jpeg, , upload developed.  once pictures uploaded never edited them @ all.  doing wrong.  not happen if edit jpeg file. thank in advance...:).

to apply edits (adjustments) raw files, need open them in photoshop , save them in different format.  original raw file never touched.

 

if instead of cliching on open button click on done or save button in acr, adjustments kept in sidecar file.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
