Thread: Boot-up problems
running 10.10... happens occasionally, , re-start fixes it... not time... when boot up, mouse pointer stays spinning circle. gnome panel shows minimized programs (sometimes) filled vertical white bars show when pass mouse on panel... if happens, know there countless instances of "flush-x:y" running... say, re-boot fixes that.
time, there 1 (1) instance of flush (8:0) running, mouse pointer spinning wheel, hdd running constantly... looking @ stats, see wnck-applet using 56% of cpu... looking @ cpu usage, both cpu's running @ 97-98%! there program listed no name, 0% cpu usage, ? start time, not using virtual memory... can't kill one...
stopped wnck-applet , cpu usage went down 69-77%, of course, had reload components have graphic functionality. so, restarted again... have flush-x:y running constantly, hdd spinning non-stop, etc.
6 reboots , no improvement... not liking this... oh, yeah, rebooted repair mode, , did lot of stuff, didn't improve anything!!
obviously, have connectivity, can run programs, write this, both cpu's running @ 100%...
when click on "re-start", tells me there unknown program running , asks if want re-boot anyway. opening window (like now!) kill whatever running... not. right running "normally" after clicked reboot. and, looking @ re-boot screen, unknown program still running, has given resources using...

and see if can catch little unknown bugger running find out is.code:htop
ethernet traffic high?
