hoped title might create little interest , help.

have toshiba laptop (info @ bottom) , purchased toshiba thrive android version 3.1. plug usb both , laptop doesn't show connection via usb.

know might need done connect 2 using usb? (keep steps simple. you're dealing 40 watt bulb in 5 watt outlet.)

have looked @ thrive forum not many familiar linux have found far.

assist.

look under settings on tablet. says connect pc. have tell tablet act disk drive or thinks charging. application setting , developement, there setting called usb debugging. may need checked.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
