Thread: network connection regularly drops in Ubuntu 11.10 64bit

since upgraded 11.10, network connection regularly drops. "sudo lshw -class network" shows following card chip info:

description: ethernet interface
product: rtl8111/8168b pci express gigabit ethernet controller
vendor: realtek semiconductor co., ltd.
physical id: 0
bus info: pci@0000:02:00.0

installed latest driver rtl8111 (r8168-8.027.00), still no improvement.

appreciate if can provide help.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
