Thread: Port 80 outbound slow

hi, picked dedicated server , had ubuntu 11.10 server installed freshly. when connecting through port 80 on things wget, server stalls time on resolving, goes through. server used host minecraft multiplayer server, , game connects own website tell if player has purchased game or not, stalling through port 80 can seen there also, taking 3-5 seconds resolve.

i'm not sure call this, if there can do, or if should contact data center techs it. port 80 inbound fine, have web server running , it's quick , snappy. decided post here because i'm unsure issue.

what have in /etc/resolv.conf?

can try different name servers here.
