Thread: Unity and MatLab launcher

i have installed matlab , works fine, if put terminal:
code:
'/usr/local/matlab/r2010b/bin/matlab'
so, went ahead , made .desktop it, , doesn't launch!
code:
[desktop entry]  name=matlab  comment=perform arithmetic, scientific or financial calculations  exec=/usr/local/matlab/r2010b/bin/matlab   icon=/usr/local/matlab/r2010b/x11/icons/matlab.png  terminal=false  type=application  startupnotify=true  categories=gnome;gtk;utility;calculator
what problem here, same.

tried adding '...', same thing.

like, whenever click on launcher unity bar, screen shows up, , disappears. there way capture feedback that?

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
