Thread: Using DVI port from an Intel HD61CR motherboard
hi,
installed 64-bit 11.10 on desktop manufactured novatech, based on intel hd61cr motherboard. works fine monitor connected via vga, monitor stays black , claims not receiving signal if connected via dvi.
i'd dvi working if can, i'm ubuntu newbie , struggling work out look. here's apparently relevant part of output "lspci -v":
which makes untutored eyes though os hasn't recognised dvi port. suggestions next?code:00:02.0 vga compatible controller: intel corporation 2nd generation core processor family integrated graphics controller (rev 09) (prog-if 00 [vga controller]) subsystem: intel corporation device 200d flags: bus master, fast devsel, latency 0, irq 43 memory @ fe000000 (64-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=4m] memory @ e0000000 (64-bit, prefetchable) [size=256m] i/o ports @ f000 [size=64] expansion rom @ <unassigned> [disabled] capabilities: <access denied> kernel driver in use: i915 kernel modules: i915
