Using index.php. CS4.

new contribute. using cs4. took on site php pages , had recreate connection. set options .php first extension listed acceptable yet contribute won't recognize  index.php. fix, created dummy index.html page contribute work , instructed client/user how change extension in contribute address bar  can access correct page , edit it. works it's kind of clumsy. can contribute see , accept correct index page? thanks!
