30 to 40 second delay when printing a PDF

i have pc running xp pro- after recent trip repair shop failed hard drive experiencing 30 40 second delay when trying print pdf's. when have pdf open click on printer icon , wait 30 or more seconds print window open select how many copies etc... after opens select print , 10 15 second delay before printing.

 

i advised go advanced on print page , select print image. has not helped.

 

i have reinstalled latest adobe reader reinstalled printer. nothing has helped.

 

word documents print perfectly.

 

 

any appreciated -wasting lots of time @ work!

i not know causing this.  if experience same issue first try install latest device driver printer.
