Epub interactive TOC

how make table of contents, interactive when exported epub?

there 2 kinds of tables of contents in epub file. epubs need naviational toc. creating toc style in indesign (layout > table of contents style). when exporting, choose name of toc style in epub export options > general > toc  style.

 

optionally, can make internal or html toc. using toc  feature in indesign (layout > table of contents) , selecting toc style created, make toc produce no page numbers (since epub reflowable doesn't have page numbers), , place @ beginning of epub file.

 

both tocs have hyperlinks , "interactive."

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
