InDesign, Ps, Illy etc not compatable w/Win8?

hello:

 

i bought new laptop b/c old 1 didn't have gpu allowed me more basic functions

 

i have begun learn indesign when went alt + double click on picture bring in tab/full view not open in id opened in windows photo gallery.

 

i tried see if change default program id open images w/in id seems thought once program set default cannot change ... ??

 

so, did make huge mistake? thought win8 work w/the entire cc b/c called adobe b4 bought laptop , told hardware suggest use , mentioned getting win8 , wasn't told wouldn't work w/cc. ??

 

so, therefore thinking must doing wrong.

 

any ideas? help? info? appreciated.

 

if person @ adobe misunderstood ... , win8 isn't able ... think should uninstall win8 , install win7? , know if doing either costly and/or total pain in ***??

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
