Polls & Quizzes 101

i'm looking feedback me started polls, quizzes, etc.

 

i've spent years developing series of websites , begin add variety of online polls, quizzes , tests. i have intermediate php , mysql skills , limited javascript skills.

 

ideally, i'd flexible - , nice if keep records of people's scores return visitors chart progress. unfortunately, still haven't learned how work sort of stuff (cookies, etc.). so, rather create own polls/quizzes, might have use else's service.

 

either way, have suggestions?

 

one relatively simple idea i'd start create polls ask if people particular state flag, 2 possible answers - yes or no. (or might add third, "i don't know.")

 

i have such poll on alaska flag page, arizona flag page, etc. or might create 1 page fifty separate flag polls.

 

either way, nice if somehow record , chart answers, people see following:

 

how many visitors or don't alaska's flag?

which state flag popular?

which flag least popular?

 

what best software or programming language create such poll? , if it's little out of league, can recommend third-party option (preferably free, though it's ok if have display ads results)?

 

my tentative plan launch simple polls , leave them online few months year. then, when i'm ready tackle more advanced, can record original poll results , launch new, more sophisticated series of polls.
