Problem with Master Template and exporting

id cs 5.5. version 7.5.3

windows 7

 

hi forum,

i applying simple master template 28 page document.

if export pdf using pre-defined format smallest file size or pdf/x-4 export correct:

 

smallest.png

if export using pre-defined pdf/x-1a or x3 pages (logo , page-no. block on both sides):

 

x3.png

 

this happens on pages 8-9, 16-17, 22-23 out of 28 pages.

 

i have tried exporting idml , reopening.

i have removed master pages, checked spurious elements , re-assigned master.

drunk lot of coffee!

no pictures go on gutter.

i need finished pdf in pdf/x-1a.

 

1.) why indesign hate me?

 

2.) can please suggest cure?

do have hidden layers?

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
