Removing telephone wire

i have photo telephone wire right through i'd remove. kind walk me through steps? know there've been many videos made on subject on youtube i've tried follow of them no avail. problem light yellow on left of wire , white on right. when use stamp clone tool, never looks quite right. advice appreciated.

what version of photoshop using? have tried using spot healing brush tool? below result got using tool. granted, don't have full-sized version of photo , did pretty quick edit, result regardless.

 

i had reduce brush size quite bit in area referring to - can see brush size @ 4px. helped me "spot clean" tricky area. (edit: think may have had trouble sky area? easiest area clean up. hardest part removing wire trees next street lamp)

cleaning photos "healing" tools patch tool , healing brushes can take time , finesse, patience, can great results.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
