Slow to Export

i trying export audio file premiere.
i imported mp3 files off digital recorder, made edits & added effects, , when try export mp3, nothing.
it says rendering media, , gives no estimated time...and have been waiting @ least 10 minutes no result. granted, 2-hour audio piece, still, shows no progress...

 

i having similar problem trying export mp4 video comprised of mp3 audio , jpg images...it sat several minutes before made progress on creating file, , work on other stuff , check , there no progress...then went & of sudden complete.

 

does have mp3's (since that's commonality between these 2 projects)?

 

i thought mihgt fact exporting our company server, tried exporting desktop see if work, nothing...

 

anytime export regular video starts after few seconds, or minute or 2 longer videos, , @ least shows progress in bar...


let me know if has insight issue.

okay, 1/2 hour later, working on & 9% done & says take 7 minutes complete.
any reson why has such slow rendering time?

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
