Strange ctrl+alt+right-click behavior (layer selection few pixels off)
the issue:
when ctrl+alt+right-click select layer, can click actual layer, or 6 10 pixels below layer. latter option (the 10 pixel margin thing) rather annoying when there's layer below it, happens stick out 10 pixels underneath layer.
it requires me set higher layer invisible, , rightclick again.
there's slight difference between pixel layers , vector layers, vector layers seem have bigger "hitbox" pixel ones.
the annoying instances layers with, example, 1 pixel line. pretty have *guess* click, close eachother.
i work in webdesign, , working pixel-perfect designs time, deal on daily (read: every few minutes) basis.
my version of photoshop
- cs6, update on home pc & work pc
it's worth mentioning didn't have issue before cs6, , have been using ps decade, +- 30 50 hours week!
before claim it's computer, systems i've noticed on:
- home pc (16gb ram, couple ssd's scratch disks, gtx670, core7 etc)
- work pc (16gb ram, no scratch disks or fancy gfx card, core7 well)
- girlfriend's macbook pro
- mountain lion running desktop (custom build, hackintosh)
+ several other pc's @ work (programmers running wildly different systems , oses)
we have several adobe subscriptions; have one, girlfriend has 1 , @ work have 3 or 4.
so, it's not computers
i hope can recreate issue, or maybe has been mentioned (i couldn't find it).
cheers,
- dirk

you have recent cs6 update? know in cs6 verions vector shapes had huge hot area, 10 pixels out describe. down couple of pixels. pixel layer auto select seems woring fine here.
