Thread: Download speed gradually slows down after wifi is connected

i have switched windows ubuntu , having problems wifi.

if run speed test after wifi connected 6m download speed (pretty same on windows), if run second time 1.5m , stays way until reset wifi connection.

thought maybe there hogging connection in background, have installed net speed extension gnome , there doesn't seem else using connection.

has else had problem?

hay,

seems common problem of wifi-card drivers. try updating them or installing manufacturer driver.

thought let know, else might able assist fix this.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
