Thread: good graphical interface

i looking graphical interface using opengl glut works ubuntu, date. glut, simple, low level, can want, stable old. have been doing research find newer toolkit , find high level languages, not style. noticed glx have not found tutorials presuming not popular. looking thing low level, has features utilizing opengl 4, , popular. write in c++. there can assist me.

what features want? "graphical interface", glut doesn't have in way of interface elements. if need setup window you, , perform input, i'd recommend sdl. mature, commonly used, well-designed, , portable. gives nice bonuses audio, threads, timers, image loading , networking (when use add-on libraries @ least). it's 1 of best libraries of kind i've used.

if want actual graphical interface, buttons, textboxes , on, there isn't clear-cut answer. if can separate graphical , interface elements, using qt opengl views option. there cegui, don't like, effective. there others, haven't used them before.

wouldn't recommend glx @ all, limit code working on x-windows no real benefit.
