Thread: keep lucid-bleed repo?

i needed version of ffmpeg worked latest version of devede , couldn't managed compile it, day or 2 ago added lucid-bleed ppa sources, , re-installed mplayer , mencoder, might ppa. devede works, i'm happy -- however, morning update-manager came few dozen things wanted update.

i'm not interested in bleeding-edge, deselected http://ppa.launchpad.net/lucid-bleed/ppa/ubuntu other sources repos. need concerned anything? there chance come along , try un-update these now-working versions of ffmpeg, mplayer, , mencoder?

you should not worry. if afraid, lock ffmpeg package via synaptic

note: bleeding ppa opened in lucid dev time, long ago. newest packages come via "backport" archives synaptic.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
