Thread: Problems with Built-in iSight

hi

have macbook pro late 2008 (http://support.apple.com/kb/sp4?viewlocale=de_de) , have problem built-in isight webcam.
1 year ago, crashed laptop screen , got me new one. unfortunately, bought screen released newer unibody macbooks. result, bluetooth doesn't work anymore, because couldn't connect corresponding cable new screen.
not important, main problem webcam work on mac os x, not on ubuntu (in cases). sometimes, start ubuntu , webcam works fine, ubuntu doesn't recognize camera right start.

i'm using cheese , skype testing , when use lsusb, cam appears.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
