Thread: TBS6928 & Mythtv

i installed tbs6928 card in ubuntu 11.10 machine. further installed linux driver described.
sudo make && make install produced errors , did not work.
:
$sudo make
$sudo make install
separately did job. dmesg command listed tbs6928 card , tbsci assume driver installed properly.
dmesg showed tbs6922fe : module license ''turbosight proprietary: http://www.tbs.com' taints kernel (something worry?)
mythtv recognizes tuner card /dev/dvb/adapter2/frontend0 fails find channels. in same machine
have 2 other dvb cards (tt-s23200)that working ok.
attracted tbs because claim support linux , mythtv...
there can ??

problem solved.
there 3 dvb cards in server , linux allocates cards not same frontend adapter i.e. /dev/dvb/adapterx/frontend0. means mythtv can @ wrong dvb card. solution force card order of frontend. problem cannot occur if there 1 dvb card installed.
tbs6928 card working quite , ci adapter. here in belgium use astoncrypt dvb-ci module works ok tbs6928.
did not see glitches in sd or hd recordings.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
