Thread: ¿Thunderbird in background?

hello everybody!!

i've question, i'm in ubuntu 11.10 , i've realized when close thunderbird quits processes running so, don't know when new mails arrives. if want know i've open again thunderbird.

when in ubuntu 11.04 thunderbird, despite wasn't open notified me new incoming mails.

how can thunderbird notify me new incoming mails?

pd: i'm spain, apologize english...

thunderbird notification settings in edit > preferences . notifications have connected , means password needs saved.

don't save passwords , have enter each time connect mail server , check new mail . if using saved passwords don't know why you're not being notified .

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
