Thread: VPN-server setup, ipalias bug

i'm trying set pptp-server on box, that's on lan, behind nat router.
due bug#876829, i'm having hard time doing this, since server has 1 nic , ipalias on single nic broken in oneiric.

idéa vpn, me use iphone, access own private dns-server @home , other things, when i'm away home.

have alternative method solve issue?

server behind router, on 192.168.1.0/24 network.

ps. router not support ipsec passthrough =/

which 1 need, vpn server or pptp-server? think need vpn?

version of ubuntu using? understand port forwarding? use dnydns or similar service router internet? isp allow operate server?

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
