How do I switch my catalog over to LR 5 Beta?

i've been testing lr 5 beta since came out , have found stable. i'd switch main workflow on it. every night 2 different drives (one internal drive in mac pro, , 1 external drive), , have automated off-site back-up service. i'm not worried data loss.

 

but how do this? in past i've waited until full release when lr 5 upgrade catalog. can open lr 4 catalog in lr 5 , upgrade it?

you cannot open or upgrade lr4 catalog lr5beta.

 

the advice given regarding lr5beta not real important work (like work done on real photos), there no guarantee image edits made in lr5beta same in lr5.

 

you could, however, make copies of photos (using operating system) , import copies lr5beta.
