How will the Adobe Cloud feature affect my scripts?
hi everyone,
i have been writing javascripts indesign 9 years , have accumulated 80,000 lines of finished code automates creation of complex , time consuming legislative products. when upgraded cs5 fix versioning issues dom adding code "app.scriptpreferences.version = '6.0'". however, when trying in indesign cs6 continue errors forcing version '8.0' '6.0' didn't work, i've been staying on cs5 until finish debuggin , rewriting out of date code compatible new dom (this taking me many months do).
my question is, new subscription based model adobe implementing cs6.5 >=, software automatically updated in background cloud based systems?
if case find scripts not functioning @ time unacceptable products legislatively required on as-needs basis , update instantly see me not able deliver.
if has knowledge on how new system going work and/or know if scenario automatic updates causing scripts malfunction happen hear you, thanks.
brett
with adobe creative cloud, users notified availability of new updates respective applications. there no automatic background installation of these updates. in fact, installing these updates perphaps @ discretion of users , not mandatory.
if have scripts compatible latest version of indesign or @ least 1 version prior don't think have malfunctioning of scripts.
because scripts old now, facing problems in cs6 (8.0)
