Thread: Centos and Ubuntu different behaviour

i have installed ubuntu server 10.04 , backed using clonezilla , restored on different machine different hardware, , works without problem.

tried same thing centos 5.6 doesnt work. can tell reason , suggest work around centos?

when doesn't work, doesn't answer
errors, grub, grub find , boot kernel, disks mounted...

possible reason problem:
suspect problem centos have cloned not contain required drivers critical bit of hardware on new server.

possible solution:
can try mondo rescue, used use cloning centos webservers move them newer hardware.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
