hi

know how above working in xubuntu 10.04 lts? not automatically detected guess there no driver in kernel. installing external driver (not in kernel) require reinstall each kernel upgrade, right? not ideal work around.

brother bought of ebay, & says linux compatible on packaging. backwards compatible usb 1.1? plug in & not recognized.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
