Thread: Startup Disk Creator problem
when creating usb install using startup disk creator strange bios overwrites.
here's happens. create usb boot disk, either using usb stick or usb hard drive, after booting using usb drive. on reboot bios in weird configuration. time reset , other settings changed.
used precise-desktop-amd64.iso example. think used fedora16 iso. tried startup disk creator on both ubuntu lucid , mint12 exact same results.
tried installing precise-desktop-amd64.iso using unetbootin create install , worked perfectly. no change on bios.
maybe effects bios only. have never seen before affect bios.
update: correction. happened using unetbootin. maybe using precise that's problem. thought used fedora16. i'm not sure. try using distro.
will mod move topic "ubuntu +1 (precise pangolin)" sub-forum.
problem precise boot , not startup disk creator or unetbootin.
thanks.
