Thread: XFCE "crashes" sometimes but no idea why - help

hey guys,

xfce crashes , drops me login screen without real reason (as can see). log @ try , work out issue? machine isnt working hard @ time, either in firefox or libreoffice seems related me typing lots followed return @ point @ login screen.

have noticed scroll lock seems flash on keyboard before crash once or twice press keys not sure if related or not. dual boot , dont have same issue in other os im happy rule out hardware (i think).

im running 11:10 xubuntu 64 if matters?

i @ following files:

~/.xsession-errors.old
/var/log/syslog
/var/log/xorg.0.log

perhaps there in there might identify cause.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
