Underscore is ignored in search by filename

hello, can help?

search in filename (ctl-shift-k) "_ma_" lists files example contain "emma". "_" in searchstring ignored. capitalization ignored. therefore search not useful....

maybe have use special string? don't rename thousands of pictures..........

i use tagging.

there exists earlier discussions, no solution. why isn't possible implement correct working search? free photoshop starter edition had correct working search, pay not few bucks , loose basic features....no recommondation...

please try search find > details (metadata) > choose filename search criteria dropdown.

here can use no. of possible operators "starts with", "contains", "ends with", etc. let know if doesn't help.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
