Can sub clips point back to original source?

hi, guilty of number 1 rookie mistake. created sub clips in , out points short later transitions. spent long time taking these 4 second sub clips 30 minute original show sequence. make dumb, dumber, did not create sequence original show footage. took in , out points directly out of show clip, dropped source monitor. feel homer simpson.  there way "f" , match-frame sub clips, may point original spots excised in original raw footage in 30 minute show?  -stretch less in texas.

sorry, there no way match original clip. please file feature request: http://www.adobe.com/go/wish

 

if did not change name of subclip, reveal in project command close original clip.
in upcoming version of premiere pro, able edit subclips change them able accept transitions.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
