Colors are screwed up after export / import h264/avc
assume have created raw colors ae. , exported file h264/avc codec (see picture).
i understand exporting chroma 4:2:0 can change colors little. it's ok. play file local video player, rgb values 1-2% away original, it's not critical.
but don't understand - why re-encoding file h.264/avc adobe media encoder standalone application leaves colors 100% correct, if import file premiere or ae, colors visibly screwed up?
then export composition h264/avc same settings stand alone encoder , colors screwed 1 more time 1-2%!
am doing wrong? how keep colors when importing?
either old h.264 gamma problem or simple quantization errors might avoid working in 16bpc or 32bpc. keep in mind ae can use color management , may see differences when setting comp viewer proofing monitor profile. generally, though, such color issues extremely difficult track down. things graphics hardware's acceleration features, vlcs selected decode method, color profiles , other color tweaks can influence this, both in mere perception of colors skewing them. start working in higher bit-depths when re-importing files ae , tippi-toe way aforementioned color management stuff , on...
