Premiere Pro and RME Fireface 800

i thought post in case might save else time.

 

on late 2012 imac running mac os x 10.8.3 (mountain lion), premiere pro cs6 (v6.0.2) play 2-3 seconds timeline before stopping.  there number of reports on web regarding variety of setups.  after trying number of proposed solutions, decided investigate audio side.  switching built-in audio fixed problem, leading fireface settings.  switching clock mode master solved problem, , switching autosync reproduced issue.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
