save as PSD no longer saves in compatibility mode

when saving psd file can no longer save in "compatibility mode". i'm using mac computer osx (version 10.8.3)  , photoshop cs6 (version 13.1.2 x64). noticed problem tonight when tried bring psd file muse project. whenever save psd file menu asks if want save in compatibility mode doesn't appear (it saves file). i've reset preferences , restarted computer photoshop still doesn't give me compatibility mode option when saving psd file.

preferences --> reset warnings.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
