Simplified Chinese Language Support Package Problems

need please!!! trying complete our visa applications china.  these applications must filled out online through adobe.  when clicked box start filling out application, said following:

 

"you need install simplified chinese language support package take action on form.  under current configuration, resource not available."

 

so did that.  installed support package.  when try open downloaded file, adobe pulls , gives me this:

 

"adobe reader not open 'fontpack1000_zh_cn(1).msi' because either not supported file type or because file has been damaged (for example, sent email attachment , wasn't correctly decoded)."

 

i don't know do.  running date version of firefox.  have fixed asap.  these forms must filled out , printed online.  chinese consulate not allow them handwritten.

first: don't think must fill out these forms online.  in fact think better if downloaded form local disk, , fill / print them there.

 

second, not understand how font pack download possibly open adobe reader.  following:

 

now should able fill chinese forms (local or online).

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
