tables pulling apart when I resize my window?

hey guys, i'm new, please bare me! i've searched forums last few hours , haven't found that'll me figured i'd start new topic:

 

the facts:

 

  1. sliced layout simple image blocks, layed them out table
  2. inserted table in fluid div

 

looks fine full screen, when drag edge of browser window smaller , smaller (trying emulate mobile device's screen size), tables seem pull apart vertically not horizontally.

anyone have insight keep them seperating?

start removing apdiv1 , table. after modify image managable size , use 'alt' atribute have content on page can read screen readers , web spiders.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
